Cookie Policy
Potly Pension Relief
Last updated: 14 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Potly Ltd (trading as Potly Pension Relief) uses cookies and similar technologies on potlypensionrelief.co.uk. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data more generally.
We use very few cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell your data.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember things — such as whether you have accepted cookies, or whether your form session is still active.
Cookies can be session cookies, which disappear when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which stay on your device for a set period.
2. Your choices and consent
We divide cookies into two groups, and treat them differently:
Essential cookies are needed for the website, the claim form and payment to work. These are always on, and do not require your consent — without them the service cannot be provided.
Analytics cookies help us understand how people use our site. These are only set if you agree. They are switched off by default until you choose to accept them.
When you first visit our site, our cookie banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. No analytics cookies are set unless and until you accept. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in our website footer.
Withdrawing your consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.
3. The cookies we use
Essential cookies (no consent needed)
Essential cookies (no consent needed)
Google Analytics is provided by Google. You can read how Google handles this data at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out across all websites using Google's browser opt-out add-on.
4. What we do not use
To be clear about what is not happening on our site:
We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.
We do not track you across other websites.
We do not use social media tracking pixels.
We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
We do not store your National Insurance number, UTR, pension details or any other sensitive information in a cookie.
5. Related technologies
Your calculator session
When you use our free calculator, the figures you enter are held temporarily in your own browser (using session and local storage, which work like cookies but are not sent to us). Your inputs are not transmitted to us while you are using the calculator — they only reach us if you choose to click “Get claim pack” and begin a purchase.
Your magic link
After you pay, we email you a “magic link” containing a unique token, which takes you to your pre-filled claim form. This is not a cookie — it is part of the web address in your email. We mention it here because it identifies your session, and we treat it as personal data. Please do not forward your magic link to anyone else.
6. Managing cookies
The easiest way to manage your choice is through the cookie settings link in our website footer, where you can accept or decline analytics cookies at any time.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting cookies already stored. Every major browser has instructions in its help pages. Please note that blocking essential cookies may stop parts of our service — including the claim form and payment — from working properly.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if we change the cookies we use — for example, if we add a new tool. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above, and where the change is significant we will ask for your consent again.
8. Contact us
If you have any questions about this Cookie Policy, the best way to reach us is by email at contact@potlypensionrelief.co.uk.
